RAM Promaster 2500 High Roof 159”

story:

Shaun is a client from California who has spent the last 9 months living out of his Subaru. Naturally he wanted to upgrade to something easier to live in - and switching from a sedan to a Boho van was like upgrading from a studio apartment to a 3 bedroom house!

Karma was a modification of the Boho Tall design built on a RAM 2500 High Roof 159”. He wanted a more “open concept” and maximum storage, so we removed our standard divider wall and added extra overhead cabinetry. A 75L Dometic fridge was installed under the sofa seat, as well as a 5 gallon portable toilet.

To ensure Shaun has the power he needs, 380 watts of solar were installed on the roof which powers 315 ah of house battery bank. Karma’s systems charge from the combination of solar, and an isolator off the car engine. Shore power is also available for when Shaun needs it.

A hot water heater and a tension line curtain rod system were designed to ensure Shaun can shower privately in the city with his outdoor shower and 25 gallon fresh water tank.

Shaun plans on becoming an optometrist, and wants to serve underprivileged communities who don’t have access to eyewear and medical eye care. He’s already done extensive work with OneSight, a non-profit organization that is working to eradicate the global vision care crisis.

Shaun was one of the raddest guys we’ve had the pleasure of working with, we are excited to see where his Karma takes him.
