RAM Promaster 2500 High Roof 159”

story:

Chuck and Suzanne love to travel. They’ve hiked all over New England, Colorado, the Pacific Northwest, and have even spent time hiking in Chile and Peru. During the weekend winters, the couple backcountry skis in their home state of New Hampshire and various mountains in Vermont.

They’re a fun pair!

Suzanne currently works in education and traveled all over the country in an RV when she was young. She has RV in her blood!

Chuck has been the lead singer/guitarist of The Bean Pickers Union for the last fifteen years, releasing over ten albums and performing live across the country. You can listen for yourself on Spotify.

After so much travel, the couple wanted a Boho Van to take their dogs along on adventures. Hatty is a pure Australian Cattle Dog and Bo (Mr BoJangles) is half cattle dog, half Border Collie. They “cannot be worn out”!

After speaking with the team at Boho, work began on “Coyote Moon”.

The van is named Coyote Moon for two reasons:

  • 1. The Shoshoni believed the Coyote was an indication of an ending. The sighting of the Coyote was said to bring natural shifts in balance, causing an end (which, of course, simply makes way for new beginnings, and so on). Essentially, the Coyote is like a “way-maker” of new direction as it went about its symbolic role of representing the cycle of life/death in nature.

  • 2. Chuck is a musician, and Coyote Moon was the working title for a song of his about someone who went off grid because he thought the end of the world was coming during the Y2K scare.

Chuck has been writing music a long time, and we joked about reason #2, though it may draw parallels to today (it’s up to who you ask!).

Coyote Moon was designed off Boho’s Base Build but with a whole lot of extras, most notably, the Espar B4L cabin heater (for those chilly backcountry ski sessions).

Further upgrades include a hot water heater, convertible sofa bed, interior screened-in windows, roof awning, and a built-in Dometic stove flush mounted in their kitchenette.

Other design moves made by Chuck and Suzanne include Cerulean ceramic tile, Ocean upholstery, custom Santa Fe Maple color flooring and southwest inspired bedding.

With their new van, Chuck and Suzanne are already planning trips. They’re booking a five/six date band tour for Spring 2022, with gigs in New York, Asheville, Charlottesville and Knoxville. After that, they’re heading west to explore Montana, Utah and Idaho.

And in case you’re wondering, of course they’re bringing Hatty with them! She’s a veteran of many gigs, and totally at ease on stage.
