RAM Promaster 2500 High Roof 159”

story:

Jim grew up in Cleveland, OH and worked 35+ years in IT. Programming, consulting, management - Jim put in the desk work and retired in 2014.

It wasn’t after retiring and completing a thru-hike of Appalachian Trail, that Jim officially became a “nomad”.

In his nomadic travels he volunteered with the National Parks at Gila Cliff Dwellings (New Mexico) Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (Page, AZ) and Capitol Reef (Utah) as well as worked on multiple trail maintenance projects scattered throughout the west.

Jim wanted a camper van to provide more flexibility and convenience for extended road trips, and something with better options than living out of his Jeep Wrangler.

With all the options, Jim settled on a Boho Camper Van, as he was privy to the rustic-cedar log cabin feel and loved it didn’t require campground hookups.

The Boho Hobo is the result! A fitting name for a nomad.

Built on a RAM Promaster 2500 High Roof 159”, Jim started with the Boho Base Build and threw in a few upgrades to suit his need including a Ladder/Roof Rack combo, additional interior windows (with screens!) and a Fiamma F45S roof awning.

Jim spec’d the finishes which include Glacier Stone backsplash tile, salmon/orange upholstery and a loud Boho-style duvet cover to keep it funky. It matches great with his Patriot Blue factory paint job.

Jim’s plans include spending winters in the southwest and summers in the northwest. Including spending his first winter in Big Bend, TX before heading across New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and SoCal.

Our experience with Jim was nothing short of exceptional as he’s calm, cool, and super laidback. We’re happy to be part of the “Boho Hobo’s” namesake.
