FORD Transit 250 High Roof 148” Extended

story:

Rose and Jim had spent the past three years, extensively researching Class B vehicles and manufacturers before discovering Boho. Upon the discovery, it was “love at first sight!”

Rose and Jim had already purchased their Ford Transit, named Eleftheria, the Greek word for Freedom (and a nod to Jim’s heritage). But now with finding us at Boho, they had finally found the perfect partner for their build-out.

Eleftheria is a true custom build, as the team at Boho worked with Rose and Jim on the design, as well as each and every component of their big blue adventure rig.

Built to stand the elements of the “Windy City”, Eleftheria has an upgraded temperature control package including an additional fan and an Espar B4L cabin heater.

The extended length of their Ford Transit allows for nearly a king size bed, and outlets were installed in the screen window sills on both sides.

The kitchen is BIG, and includes a built-in Dometic 2-Burner stove top, a Dometic CRX110S stainless fridge and a 3-tiered pullout pantry for easy access.

Other unique aspects of Eleftheria include a Chead Shorty composting toilet, screened-in doors to prevent unwanted pests, and a blue turquoise tile that pops off the red velvet-style upholstery.

Under the bed hosts a 25 Gal fresh water tank, a hot water heater, a 300ah Li battery bank, and Victron components to make everything run smoothly. With all that, there’s still plenty of room to store inflatable kayaks and gear.

Rose also hopes to hijack their rig for field paleontology work in the Judith River and Hell Creek Formations. She was lucky enough to work on the excavation team for “Leonardo,” a 77 million-year-old “mummy” Brachylophosaurus, recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the best preserved dinosaur ever found, with 90 percent of the body containing skin impressions, muscle, internal organs, and even the stomach contents of his last meal.

Rose and Jim forward to exploring new horizons and adventures together from coast to coast, and Boho is thrilled to be involved!
