In Carolyn’s life, summer means camping. As a kid, her parents, brother, and dog (Pip) traveled around the country in a 24-foot Intruder travel trailer for eight months. After the trip, Carolyn was hooked. Camping is when she feels “most alive.”

Now an adult, Carolyn had camped various ways on her backpacking adventures such as tent camping and various VW vans.

After two decades of teaching math, Carolyn decided it was time to explore again - but this time in a Boho Camper Van.

Clouds Rest is named after a mountain in Yosemite National Park known for its visual prominence. It’s built on a RAM 159” chassis with a silver factory paint job - matching the color of her namesake.

Silver, blue, and stone comprise the finishes custom chosen by Carolyn, rolling throughout Clouds Rest like an afternoon microburst.

Carolyn will have no problem getting off the grid with her powerful electrical system including 315AH of house battery bank, 400W of rooftop solar and Victron Components to keep her systems running.

Afternoons in Oregon can get chilly (even in the summer), therefore we installed a hot water heater to power 25 gallons of fresh water to her kitchen sink and outdoor shower.

Carolyn loves to travel solo, but Clouds Rest will give her plenty of room for a travel buddy. Face to face sofa seating bookends a 32”W butcher block slide out table for dining, card games and late night conversation.

Final touches include custom window installation with sliding screens, a passenger swivel seat and a Ruvati drop-in sink.

Clouds Rest will give Carolyn, in her words, “time to travel the glorious west, the solitude of the southwest, revisit the Florida Keys and see the gorgeous fall colors of the northeast. And with the comfort of the van I can do what I love.. hike, visit friends and family, speak out for the animals and our planet, and reconnect with Mother Nature.”
