It's a build-your-own camper van process where the chassis and floor plan work together from day one. We'll walk you through the trade-offs between cargo space, drivability, and interior height before you commit.

Most clients land on Ford Transit, Ram ProMaster, or Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, each suited to a different travel style and budget. Once you've chosen a platform, our named layouts (Old Faithful, Phantom Ranch, and King Canyon) give you a tested starting point.

Choose Your Van Platform

Ford Transit, Ram ProMaster, and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter each offer unique advantages in handling, interior space, and driving experience. The right platform depends on how you plan to travel, the layout you prefer, and what feels best behind the wheel.

The Sprinter offers more headroom and off-grid capacity, while the Transit’s shorter wheelbase makes it easier to navigate city streets and tighter campsites. Still deciding which fits? Book a travel van rental first to test the layout and drivability before committing to a build.

Select a Layout

Old Faithful, Phantom Ranch, and King Canyon each offer a different balance of sleeping space, kitchen size, and storage. Smaller layouts suit solo travelers or couples who want simplicity.

Larger configurations fit families or longer trips. If none of our named layouts fit exactly, Custom Elite builds a floor plan from scratch around your needs.

Customize Your Camper Van

Once you set your platform and layout, the real customization begins. Every custom-built camper van we produce lets you choose finishes, materials, and functional systems to match how you'll actually live on the road.

This includes cabinetry style and wood tone, flooring, counter material, and upholstery, plus power, water, and climate systems that make off-grid travel realistic. Nothing here is generic.

We'll walk you through tradeoffs between weight, cost, and capability at each step, so you're not guessing what a solar upgrade or extra battery capacity actually means for your trip length. The goal is a van that works exactly the way you camp, not a version close enough.

Interior Finishes and Materials

Cabinetry comes in multiple wood tones and finishes, paired with your choice of flooring, countertop material, and upholstery fabric. We'll show you samples before production starts.

That way, you won't have to guess what the final interior will look or feel like. Durability matters as much as style here, since these materials need to hold up to years of road use.

Power, Storage, and Comfort Features

Solar panels, lithium battery banks, and inverter capacity scale to how far off-grid you plan to travel. Storage options include cabinetry, under-bed compartments, and roof racks for gear.

Comfort features range from diesel heaters to off-grid AC. We'll size each system to a realistic runtime for your travel habits, not a maximum-spec default.

Camper Van Build Options

Choosing between Essential, Elevated, and Elite comes down to how much system and finish complexity you want built in. Essential covers the fundamentals for weekend trips and shorter travel.

Elevated adds expanded power, storage, and finish upgrades for travelers spending weeks on the road. Elite is our top tier, built for full-time van life and serious off-grid stretches.
